Royal family flourish in their natural habitat

Â

After 108 days of freedom, our Royal Family of White Lions are flourishing in their natural habitat. We are very proud of them. They've overcome many challenges, one paw print at a time. But we couldn't do this work without the loving support we've received from you and others.

The tribe is thriving in this golden landscape. Mandla, the King of the family, spends his nights patrolling his territory, letting out the odd roar that announces his presence as ruler of this land and leader of his pride. Upon seeing a hyena in the distance, Mandla alters his calm, relaxed demeanor and within an instance has his nose to the ground. Picking up the hyena's trail, Mandla sleeks through the undergrowth, disappearing into the bush.

As morning awakes, Mandla calls out to Zihra and their cubs, trying to locate them for a days nap. When a faint reply is heard in the distance, his tracks change to follow. In the safety of his tribe's watchful eyes, he rests with ease, unfearful. Lying on his back, paws in the air, Mandla soaks up the heat and sleeps whilst Zihra trains the cubs to hunt.
