The Will to protect White Lions as our sacred heritage for future generations.

What is a bequest?

A bequest is a gift that is provided for in a Last Will and Testament.

Many people feel the need not only to provide for their family and friends, but also to make a meaningful contribution to a greater cause - sending a message of love and goodwill to future generations.

If the Global White Lion Protection Trust is a charitable organization whose objectives you support or feel are closely connected with, you might consider naming this registered non-profit organisation in your Will.

Bequests can be made in cash, personal property, real estate or a percentage of real estate, or if you prefer whatever remains after your loved ones have been provided for.

If you wish, you may even sign over an existing life insurance policy or take out a new one, naming the Global White Lion Protection Trust as a beneficiary.

How To?

If you wish to make a bequest to the Global White Lion Protection Trust, a codicil form will be provided to you on request. Click here: info@whitelions.org. A codicil is a legally binding instruction that effectively changes your Will without having to redraft a new Will. You would sign this before two witnesses, and attach it to your Will.

In terms of Section 4(h) (ii) of the Estate Duty Act, 45 of 1955, all bequests or accruals in favour of registered charities are deductible for estate duty purposes. The law also protects your right to cancel your bequest at a later stage, should you wish to do so, or should your circumstances so dictate.

No Will?

Many people put off making a Will because it is seen as morbid or tempting fate. In fact, it's a necessary and sensible step that brings great peace of mind, knowing your affairs are in order. Where there's a Will, there is a way to protect our White Lion heritage, not only today, but for always.
